Role: Chairman Born in Dover, he has three sons and a young daughter and wants Dover to be a place for young and old to be proud of and safe in. He was a Chief surveyor in the District Council for ten years and has had a Chartered Surveying practice for the last 23 years in Castle Street. Having been President of Dover Rotary and Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce he has considerable knowledge of the workings of the town and port. For some years he organised Dovers' Calais Fair contribution and has sponsored a variety of local initiatives. His belief is that the Town should stand apart from the District and make its own statements and priorities. Tel :01304 240000 Write Comment (0 comments) |

Role: Alliance Secretary Chris wants to see a Dover Town Council working for the people, rather than for a London based Party, he knows that the Town & Pier Wad has the richest history in the town. Instead of seeing it become a motorway exit and Harbour Board building site he wants to see the history preserved and presented in a way that attracts visitors to Dover in the sort of numbers that would normally head for Hastings. As family men, Chris has 3 young children and a 4th on the way, he wants to see Dover gain a thriving social infrastructure to go with a variety of good jobs and business opportunities. Chris is a full-time carer to his children, having previously run pubs and works as a support tutor in he local Job Club. He is also a Parent Governor at Aycliffe Community Primary School and sits on the NCH Dover Family Support Steering Group. Write Comment (0 comments) |

I have lived and worked in the Dover area all my life, I am 58 years of age, I attended the Archers Court school, which I left in the mid-sixties to take up an apprenticeship at the then Tilmanstone colliery. Since this time I have had several careers and currently I have worked for the last twelve years with Eurotunnel in their railway sector. I am married to Carol, we have five children the youngest now 25, my pride and joy are my grand children Megan, 4 and Joshua, 2. My main interest in life is fighting for the survival of Dover Athletic Football Club, to this end I helped to set up and organise the supporters trust. I am also well known throughout the world of "carnival" in the Kent area. If re-elected, it would be my ambition to help to return this town to something like the town I remember as a child and a young man. Since becoming a councillor I have become known as the "CRIMBO KING", for my work in organising the Christmas lights, and ensuring they come down on time. Write Comment (0 comments) |
