This declaration by your Dover Alliance candidate is to show that we wish to work together and with others for the betterment of our Town first. We will maintain our personal policies and opinions to represent our Wards but beyond this we wish to:

a) improve the effectiveness of the Town Council by making it representative of ALL the people of Dover

b) not represent any political party and not be dictated to by dogma or national policies;

c) take into account the District, County, National and International needs as we in Dover consider them relevant;

d) work to generate co-operation with all interested and concerned persons or groups that wish to see Dover and its people prosper, be safe and develop its potential;

e) re-awaken and encourage the existing community spirit as a substitute for the lack of political enthusiasm.

f) ensure that the Dover Harbour Board contributes fully to the benefit of the Town

g) make Dover a Fair Trade Town

h) encourage businesses to work with the Town Council by acting responsibly

i) see that empty properties and Charity Shops are replaced by Regeneration of Dover

j) establish a proper, open system of management in the Town Council

k) to have the people of Dover make the Councils agenda for change and to involve them.
