Councillor Neil Law for Maxton, Elms Vale and Priory Ward

Born in Dover in 1956 I grew up in the Town and was educated at both primary and secondary school (Astor) levels here. Although I served my apprenticeship in Dover and worked around Dover for a number of years in 1992 I started up my own business. Later in 1996 I qualified as a lecturer and spent 10 years teaching in Further Education.

I did find time in 1989 to become a volunteer in the Red Cross.

Having spent 30 years in the Ward and raising my family here I am reasonably aware of the good and bad points it has. I will not mention specifics as they become political footballs. The reason I joined the Alliance was to get beyond this and to focus on Ward and Town needs not blame.

The work to Dover Priory railway station brings welcomed improvements to the area. However, I believe more improvements can still be made without such high levels of financial investment.
